Mrs. Wilma Chaynell Melville, age 65 transitioned into eternal rest, Sunday, January 16, 2022, at UNC Hospital, Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Wilma Chaynell Melville was born on February 9, 1956, to Pauline Eaves at Mathiesen Clinic, Pittsboro, NC.

She moved to NYC at a young age along with her mother and sister Patricia Eaves. She graduated from George Washington High School in Manhattan. She then attended college at NC A & T in Greensboro, NC. There she excelled academically. She remained until the summer of 1980 when she returned to New York and became engaged to Lawrence Melville “AKA Michael”. Who she remained close to, and he always loved. They married the following year on Valentine’s Day. They were blessed with a son Terron in May of 1982, and a daughter Michele in August of 1983.

She is survived by her husband Lawrence “Michael”; her children, Terron and Michele; stepdaughter, Kim Hill; granddaughters, Taniyah Mitchell, and Imani Hill; goddaughter, Embrya Smith; sister, Patricia Kelly; brothers, Jimmy and Paul Eaves; her aunt, Elnora Smith; uncle Alton Alston; her extended grandkids, Drekwon, Taizjah, Tre’lyn, Braylyn, Jakor, and so many friends and loved ones of this amazing, loving woman with the BIG HEART & SMILE. REST IN PEACE, MY LOVE.
