On Wednesday evening August 3, 2022, God called one of his servants Willie Deloris McKinney Davis home to be with him.
Ms. Willie ”Delois” McKinney Davis was born July 12, 1944, in Chapel Hill North Carolina to the late James McKinney and Pearl Chambers McKinney.
At an early age, Delois accepted Christ in her life at her family's church, Holland Chapel A.M.E Zion Church.
She attended Horton High School where she received her education. Delois worked at K&W for several years and then from there she started working at Carolina Meadows where she retired. Delois was a hard worker and dedicated woman that devoted her time at work. Delois had a great sense of humor that will always uplift you. She loved her soap operas: "Young and the Restless", "All My Children", "Days of Our Lives", and "One Life to Live".
She was preceded in death by her siblings Charlie McKinney, Sylvester McKinney, Thomas McKinney, Earnest McKinney, and Johnny Ray McKinney.
Her memories of life will now be cherished by one daughter, Loretta Davis (Don Rogers), and three grandchildren; Cassandra “Toot”, of Wilson, NC, Malcolm of Durham, NC, and Ebony Davis of Rocky Mount, NC; four great-grandchildren Makiya and Mariya Davis, Kharisma and Khariye Jones; three sisters; Ada Mae Nobles of Green Level NC, Rosa Laws of Efland NC, and Roxanna Alston of Pittsboro, NC; three brothers, Samuel McKinney of Siler City, NC, David McKinney of Chapel Hill, NC, and Isaiah McKinney (Wanda) of Chapel Hill, NC.
Special thanks to her nieces Lynda McKinney and Debbie McKinney for always being there for her, and her nephew Ricky McKinney who was like a son to her, and a host of nieces, nephews relatives, and friends.
