Mr. William Edward Swann "Eddie", age 60 of Sanford, NC transitioned into eternal rest on Saturday, April 16, 2022 in Sanford, NC.
William was born April 15, 1962, to the late Earmon and Barbara Swann in Lee County. He joined New Hope AME Zion Church at an early age. He sang in the children's choir where he sang the song “O happy day!”
William graduated from Western High School in 1980. Upon graduation, he worked at Trion, Inc. for several years. Later, William ventured out and pursued his career as a truck driver.
William had a huge passion for truck driving. He was the owner of Swann’s Trucking, Inc. for years until he obtained health issues. Upon retiring from trucking, he devoted more time to his children and grandchildren.
William was a loving father and grandfather. He loved his entire family and he always enjoyed spending quality time with them. In his leisure time, William liked to ride his motorcycle and cruising around in his sports Camaro.
William was preceded in death by his parents, Earmon and Barbara Swann; his daughter, Azianna Swann.
He leaves to cherish his memories; one daughter, Brittany Swann, Sanford, NC; three sons, William J. Swann (Asyidusa) and Chayse McLean both of Fayetteville, NC; and Andrew Buie (Sheanna) Broadway, NC; one sister; Patricia Holland (Wallace) Raleigh, NC; one brother, Tony Swann Sanford, NC; five grandsons; Jaysten McLean, Jashawn Swann, Zayden Swann, Mason Fortune, and Andrew "AJ" Buie, Jr.; four granddaughters; Andrionna Buie, Nevaeh Buie, Zyrianna Swann, and Z’Miyah Payne; a special niece; Dedra Taylor of Myrtle Beach, SC; three aunts; Roenia Cox, Bettie McLean, and Elsie McCormick (Walter), all of Sanford NC; two uncles, William "WC" Dorsett of Sanford, NC, and Felton Swann (Minnie), Cameron, NC. William had four special cousins, who were like his sisters and brothers; Darlene Dorsett, Fayetteville NC, and Jackie "Sue" Mills Baltimore, Maryland; Terry Dorsett, Gainesville, GA and Andy McLean "Pank" Sanford, NC, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
