Ms. Viola Smith, age 70, of Sanford, NC transitioned into eternal rest, Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at her residence.
Ms. Viola Smith was born on March 18, 1951 in Dillon, South Carolina. She transitioned into eternal rest on March 30, 2021.
Viola furthered her education at Passaic County Community College where she studied drawing. She was employed by Saddle Brook Convalescent Home for 25 years as a CNA and Pilgrims Pride for more than 10.
Viola had a love for cookbooks and cooking. She enjoyed dancing, music, and piecing puzzles together. Viola loved the beach and the sounds of the ocean. She was full of love and a caregiver to her family.
She loved doing anything for her one and only daughter, Amanda. Being with her family, random talks with her grandson, Shabba, vacationing with her one and only granddaughter Ebonye, special bonding chats with her great grands, Asia and India and giving her last great great grand, Brooklyn all the love she had, were the things that mattered most.
She was preceded in death by: her mother: Annie Ellerby-McLean, grandmother: Molly Champion, son: Alphonso Smith and sister: Bessie “Bett” Mae McLean.
Viola leaves to cherish her memories: daughter, Amanda-McLean Hinds; two grandchildren: Ebonye McLean (Joselito Martinez) and Christopher “Shabba” Moses Hinds; three great grandchidren: Asia and India Womack and Brooklyn McLeod; one sister: Pinky-Lee Smith; a special nephew: Andre’ Williams and last but never the least, her favorite niece, Victoria Williams “Queen Victoria” along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
