Ms. Valerie Anne (Roesch) Dowdy, age 76, of Broadway, NC transitioned to eternal rest on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC.
The Obituary
Valerie Anne Roesch Dowdy was born on September 28, 1947, to her late parents, Joseph and Catherine Roesch. She grew up in Lyndhurst, NJ where she attended and graduated from Lyndhurst High School and went to pursue her career with LPS Industries Inc. for twenty years.
In 2004 she moved to North Carolina with her family, where she continued enjoying her retirement years until her health deteriorated. She was caring and loving in her own special way
She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover C. Dowdy; son, Tony Roesch; daughter, Donna Ann Dowdy; and a beloved great-grandson, Kyree Senior.
Valerie leaves to cherish her memories to her daughter, Chanin Roesch Cherry; one son, Rich Difrancesco (Tara); two sisters, Diane Ricca (Mark) and JoAnne Nahra, both of New Jersey; two grandsons, Devin M. Senior (Ines) and Samuel Cherry; two granddaughters, Krystal Arroyo and Brianna Hudson; six great grandchildren, Kyng, Aurora “Chunk”, Skylar, Shyheem Senior, Des, and “J”, all of North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
