Tonya Louise Reid

Ms. Tonya Louise Reid, age 58 of Carthage, NC transitioned to eternal rest Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford, NC. 

Ms. Tonya Louise "Floney" Reid was born on October 8, 1965, to the late Roger D. Reid and Rosetta Griffin Reid. Floney departed this life on February 7th, 2024, at Central Carolina Hospital.

Tonya attended Lee Senior High School and graduated in 1983. She attended New Zion Missionary Baptist Church with her family. Floney was the proud mother of three loving children. Tonya had a heart of gold and loved everyone unconditionally. She was a great cook and loved the game of softball. At the end of it all Tonya was a believer.

She was preceded in death by her father Roger D. Reid, son Anthony J. Reid, and sister Melissa A. Reid.

She leaves to cherish: one son Marvin A. Chambers (Ashley), one daughter Jalisa A, Reid (Anthony), four grandchildren Nasir Chambers, Imani Chambers, Zahmere Perry, and Zariah Perry all of Sanford, NC; partner William Trusell; mother Rosetta Reid; four sisters: Shirlene Elliott (Wayne), Regina Ferguson (Dennis), Stephanie Reid, and Shannon Sampson, one brother Roger Reid (Tonja), a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, and other relatives and many friends.

ATTENTION: Everyone that enters the funeral home and or attends services- MUST WEAR A MASK

The Family will receive visitors daily at 580 Beulah Brown Road, Sanford, NC from 2:00 pm- 7:00 pm.
