Tommy Maurice Barrow, age 31 of 718 Wickham Ridge Road, Apex, NC 27539, transitioned into eternal rest on Friday, June 19, 2020 at his residence.
Tommy Maurice Barrow, son of Sarah Barrow and the late Tommy Lee Barrow, was born on May 31, 1989 in Fayetteville, NC. He was born a twin and came out 3 minutes before his baby brother, Adrian Barrow. He graduated from Overhills High School in 2007 and obtained a Bachelor's in Biochemistry from NC State University (Go Wolfpack!) in 2011. After leaving Merck, he became employed by Pfizer. He was currently working on his Master's so that he could continue to progress in his field.
As a child, Tommy grew up a faithful member at Body of Christ Ministries in Sanford, NC and was very involved in the youth ministry. As an adult, he became a passionate dancer and was a proud member of Fusion Dance Team. Tommy not only loved to dance, but he loved to travel and dubbed himself "Duffel Bag Boy." And of course, he was always the life of the party. Tommy was dramatic and couldn't wait to bust out laughing, and his laughter was contagious.
Tommy loved his family. The highlight of his life was going over to "Mama's house" and waiting for his siblings, nieces and nephews to arrive. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Sarah Barrow, as well as his five siblings, Tanita Barrow, Tomesha Barrow, Jessica Smith (Jonathan), Adrian Barrow, and Christina Barrow, all of Sanford, NC; his nieces Kaniyah Allen-Barrow, Janiyah Mayfield, & Chauncey Smith; his nephews Seven Smith, Canaan Smith, Tamias Davenport, and Nore-Artrel McLean, all of Sanford, NC; his grandmothers Sarah Chesney (Albert) of Sanford and Eula Glasper of Aurora, NC, as well as special friend & cousin Dougie Bernard McIver (Raleigh). He leaves to cherish his memory a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. He will be dearly missed.
