Tisha Renata McNeill

Ms. Tisha Renata McNeill, age 60 of Sanford, North Carolina transitioned to eternal rest Monday, June 29, 2026 at Central Carolina Hospital, Sanford, NC. 

Tisha Renata Johns McNeill, was born November 28, 1965, in Chapel Hill, NC to Mary Baldwin Johns and the late Willie Johns. Tisha, or “Tish” as she was so fondly called, departed this life on Monday, June 29, 2026, at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford, NC at the age of sixty years.

Tisha loved life.  She enjoyed sewing, watching movies, making people laugh, her children, and spending time with her grandchildren.  She adored her family. She was educated in the Lee County School system graduating from Lee County High School in 1984.  She continued her education in Cosmetology School.  She worked most of her adult life at Magneti Maralli, Sanford, NC.

Tisha was preceded in death by her beloved father, Willie Johns, her son, Trevon Johns, and her late husband, Jackie McNeill.

Her memories will be cherished by her five children, Kendaris Johns, Mia McNeill, Deion Johns, Dymond Johns, and Omarion Johns.  She leaves behind eight grandchildren, Kalynn Johns, Kiley McNeill, Travis Mclaughlin, Jr. Deionna Johns, Cody Johns, Ayden Barrett, Brycen Johns, and Zyhir Mercado.  Her memories will always be cherished by her special friend of many years, James Reid (Bean).

Remembrances of Tisha will be especially cherished by her loving mother, Mary Baldwin Johns of Sanford, four siblings, Willie Shaw, of Georgia, Vicky Anderson (Chuck), of Sanford NC, Diane Shaw, and Shawn Shaw (Tawanna) of New Jersey.  Also left to mourn are her uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
