Timothy John Eckenrode

Mr. Timothy John Eckenrode, age 60 of Spring Lake, NC transitioned to eternal rest on Tuesday, July 2, 2024. 

The Obituary

Timothy John (TJ) Eckenrode, 60, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, July 2, 2024. He peacefully gained his wings with his wife by his side. Tim fought for the last four years with cancer. 

Born on August 3, 1963, in Phoenixville, PA to Russel Luther and Sarah (Sally) Thompson. Tim was the youngest of two sons.

Tim graduated from Spring Ford High School in Royersford, PA in 1981. He then went to Thaddeus Stephens Trade School, Lancaster, PA where he studied auto body repair. Tim worked in the auto glass/replacement field for many years. Tim learned dentless paint repair, he was very proud of this skill learned later in life. Tim always was very technical and hands on with his work.

In August 1985 he met the love of his life, Madeline. They were married October 3, 1986. Tim became the stepfather to Madeline's four children. He accepted his role with pleasure, he loved these children as his own. He taught them many life's lessons throughout their time together. He cherished every moment with his family.

Hobbies that Tim loved included being an avid reader, meditation, studied different religion/spirituality and being present in nature. Tim loved going to car shows and traveling. 

Tim is survived by his wife of thirty-seven years, Madeline; children, Thomas and Shandah, Adam and Jenn, Justin and Chrystal Marnoch, and Julie and Nick Davies. Tim was blessed with nineteen grandchildren!! Tim also is survived by one brother, Leland (Lee) Eckenrode and two nephews, Charles and Ben and one niece, Sarah Beth.

A private celebration of life will take place with his family.
