Mr. Thomas Allen French, Jr., age 78, of Fayetteville, NC, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Autumn Care of Fayetteville in Fayetteville, NC.

The Obituary

Thomas A. French Jr. was born to the late Reverend Thomas H. French and Nina B. French on May 26, 1947, and departed this life on May 27, 2025.

He attended Lee Elementary School and W.B. Wicker High School. He was a member of Ward Memorial Church. He attended Simon Temple AME Zion Church under Reverend Brian R. Thompson in Fayetteville, NC. He worked for a short period for UNC Chapel Hill until he entered United States Air Force. He served for 21 years in various locations: Texas, Mississippi, Okinawa-Japan, Nebraska, Germany, Florida, and Alabama. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked for the Department of Public Safety Division of Prison for 19 years until retirement.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 57 years, Evelyn; two loving and devoted sons, Sebastian M. French (Mekeisha) of Reynoldsburg, Ohio and Steven M. Burnette (Shonda) of Ellenwood, Georgia; six grandchildren, Shante, Steven,and Safarrah Burnette, all of Ellenwood, Georgia and Marissa and Skylar French, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, and Brent Burnette of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, two brothers, James B. French (Gloria) of Sanford, North Carolina, Reverend Julian French of Durham, NC; two sisters, Marie Cross of Bear Creek, North Carolina, and Sara Richardson of Sanford, North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
