Therman Orsear "Smooth" McNeill

Mr. Therman O. McNeill, age 69 peacefully transitioned into eternal rest on December 23, 2020, in High Point NC just 11 days before his 70th birthday. He attended Piney Ridge Church as a young boy.  He re-dedicated his life to Christ at Evangel Fellowship in Greensboro NC as an older man.

Therman was born on January.03, 1951 to Theodore and Irene McNeill. He attended W.B Wicker High School and continued his education at Central Carolina College. He worked for many years as an electrician. Before he became an electrician he was a paratrooper in the US Army. He married Carolyn in 1982 in Sanford NC. Therman loved fishing, football, chess, music, and he loved to sing. He will be most remembered for his big heart and the way he loved people. He was well-liked by friends, respected by his co-workers, adored by his children, and loved by his wife.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Irene McLean; father, Theodore McNeill, and older brother Theodore McNeill Jr.

Therman is survived by his wife; Carolyn McNeill; his children, Tiffany and Ike Bibbs, Wendy and Hayden Smith, and Timothy McNeill; as well as his siblings; Hazel Foushee, Alma Jean McNeill, and Eronus McNeill;  his aunts, Buelah Matthews and Grace Johnson Taylor; his in-laws, Hazel Smith, Wilma and Jasper Simmons, and Maggie Wren; seven grandchildren; Brandan Funderburk, Jasmine Smith, Brittney Smith, Hayden Smith Jr., Quincy Smith, Trevor Bibbs, and Tyler Bibbs; one great-grandchild, Ayden Briscoe; his life long friends, Wade Stackhouse, and Michael Garrett; good friends;  Dr. Aaron Cotten, and Lamont Estes; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
