Terri Lynn Spears, age 55 of 4794 Deep River Road, Sanford, NC transitioned into eternal rest on Friday, August 7, 2020, at her residence.

She was born June 18, 1965 in Brookville, P.A., the late daughter of Terrence Paul Ward and Carol Jean (Palmer) Ward.

Terri worked as a head cook at Mrs. Wenger's Restaurant in Sanford, NC for 20+ years prior to retirement. Terri also worked at JT Davenport and the Barbeque Lodge of Sanford, NC.

Terri enjoyed reading, cooking, baking, crocheting, helping others, and spending time with friends and family.

Terri is proceeded in death by her husband James Lee Spears, daughter Jenny May (Spears) Smith, and son-in-law Peter "James" Smith Jr. of Sanford, NC. Terri had one sister Barbara Jamison (Ed Jamison) of P.A and two brothers Brian Ward (Helen Ward) and Greg Ward of Sanford, NC. Terri had two living daughters; Zandrea (Spears) Tuck (Kenneth Tuck) of Carthage, NC and Hazel Spears (Timothy Moore) of Sanford, NC. Terri had 9 grandchildren. Terri wished to be cremated with no funeral service. A small memorial service and repass will be planned for close family and friends at a later date.
