Terrance Rashawn Ford, age 31 of 2577 Raven Rock Road transitioned into eternal rest on Thursday, December 12, 2019.
Mr. Terrance Rashawn Ford was born July 2, 1988 in Phenix City, Alabama to Vern Thomas and Dorothy Ford. He tragically departed this life on Thursday, December 12, 2019.
He was known as “T”, “Bama”, “Lil’ Ford” to others but ‘Nestle Crunch bar” by his wife. He received his education through the Russell County school system. There he was an avid athlete and to hear him say it, “better than Jordan”. He became a member at Chapel Hill AME Zion church in April 2015 where he was an usher, and he received an award for his outstanding service in 2017. All church members can hear him saying, “Sang choir!”
Terrance loved to rap and tried his best to sing. He also loved to cook where he introduced his wife to fried chicken feet and crawfish. He had big dreams of becoming a chef and owning his own restaurant. If that didn’t work out, he wanted to own his own tire shop. Terrance was also a jokester and a no-nonsense person. He would have you laughing until your stomach hurt due to how quickly he could roast you. He can be heard saying, “this dog gon’ hunt” and “I put my pants on one leg at a time like you”.
He had a powerful testimony. Some even called him a future preacher. He overcame a lot of challenges. He also never met a stranger. He was willing to help others.
Terrance was preceded in death by his brothers, Anthony Ford and Tremaine Hutchison.
He is survived by his wife, Ersertavia Ford of the home; son, Terrance Josiah Ford of the home; daughter, Khialynn Ford of Pennsylvania; father, Vern Thomas of Alabama; mother, Dorothy Ford of Alabama; sister, Tasheena Ford of Alabama; brother, Taray Ford of Alabama; father in law, Al McLaughlin of Ellerbe, NC; father in law, Calvin Lee of Broadway, NC and a host of relatives, friends, and a loving church family.
