Ms. Teresa Yvonne Goldston of Durham, North Carolina transitioned into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at her residence at the age of 45. Teresa, also known as “Tiny” was born on March 6, 1977, to Vernicia Goldston McKoy and James Leon Minter. Teresa completed her High School Diploma at Lee Senior High School where she graduated in 1995. A Social Butterfly is an understatement when it comes to describing her personality. In any room she walked in, her presence was surely felt. Through her cooking and singing, she touched the hearts of everyone in her path. Teresa was a strong and beautiful person and she was loved effortlessly. Illuminating lives with her sense of humor and caring nature she loved to have a good time and made it her mission that her loved ones felt nothing but joy. Lastly, she took great pride in being a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a niece, a cousin but most of all a loving mother to her three greatest creations.
She was preceded in death by her Father: James Leon Minter; her Grandparents: George West Griffin, Annie Goldston Alston, and Marvin “Skip” Alston; Aunt: Janice Goldston Person; Uncles: Herman Graves, and Joe Minter; Cousins: Roderick Goldston, and Prentice Goldston.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories: Three Children: Makayla Goldston, Kyree Goldston, and Ni’yanni Goldston; Parents: Vernicia Goldston McKoy and Willie McKoy; Two Sisters: Shenequia Goldston and Rosalind Jacobs [Frankie Spruell]; Brothers: Mike Watson, Nathan Thompson, and Johnathan Thompson; Aunts and Uncles: Roy, Goldston, Steve [Ann] Goldston, Rodney [Tabitha] Goldston, Walter [Cinder] Goldston, Sandra Griffin, Clarissa [Herman] Dowdy, and Patricia [Joe] Minter; Nieces and Nephews: Desma, Markitia, Jasmin, Japonica, Jadius, Jakira, Rakeam, Cassidy, and Autumn; Special Friend: Shermal McNeill; Close Friends: Symertra Alston, Lakarsha Mitchell, Priscilla Goldston, and Adrienne Matthews. She also leaves a host of other friends and family to cherish her memories.
