Ms. Symona Lucette Butler, age 56, of Fayetteville, NC entered eternal rest on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayetteville, NC.

The Obituary

Symona Lucette Brooks, affectionately known as “Toni by some and Mona by others” was born on August 21,1968 to the late Doris Jean Brooks and Paul McDowell in Sanford, North Carolina. She was the first born among the three, Nicole Brooks and Fred Lawson.

Symona enjoyed spending time with family and friends and loving up on her grandchildren. She brought a smile to everyone around her with her sensitive heart and nature. She missed her calling as a beautician, but everyone knew she was skill-full at taking care of and styling hair.

She brought into the world four beautiful daughters, Kasena Carter (biological), Raven (Kevin) Toomer (biological), Whitney Butler, and Rhianna (Darian) Merriweather.

Symona may not have acquired riches in this life, but you would not have known it by her generous nature. She loved giving and sharing whatever she had.

Symona’s memory will be cherished by many, but her legacy of love will be passed to her children, grandchildren, and hopefully great grandchildren. She will be missed by all of her family, siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins, and a host of family friends.
