Mr. Steve Anthony Blake, age 65, of Durham, NC, transitioned to eternal rest on Tuesday, March 24, 2026.
Obituary
Steve was born on May 6, 1960. He was a graduate of Jordan High School in Durham, North Carolina. Throughout his life, Steve had a deep passion for the game of basketball. He dedicated much of his time to coaching and mentoring youth in the community, leaving a lasting and meaningful impact on the lives of many young athletes.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Alma Blake and James Parker, and his sister, Carolyn Parker.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving daughters, Courtney Nicole Blake and Brittany Morgan Blake; one granddaughter, Paige Nicole Davis; and a grandson on the way. He is also survived by his stepmother, Georgetta Parker; his siblings, Tirrell Blake, Cheryl Blake, Barry Blake, and Jacqueline Parker McAfee; along with a host of extended family members, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.
Steve will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his passion for coaching, and the positive influence he had within the community. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
