Stella Louise (Gilmore) McLean

Mrs. Stella Louise McLean, age 72, of Broadway, NC, eternal rest on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at Central Harnett Hospital in Lillington, NC.

Stella was born on October 15, 1953, in Sanford, NC to the late Della May Gilmore and Charlie “Bug” McLean.

Stella attended Greenwood School where she met the love of her life, Percy Lee McLean. Stella and Percy were married on November 9, 1974, in Bennettsville, SC. They were married for fifty years. To this union two sons were born.

Stella attended Eastside Pentecostal Holiness Church for many years. She was a cheerful giver to anyone that was in need. She loved cooking, playing spades and phone games, but most of all she loved God and to sing His praises.

Stella was preceded in death by her parents, Della May Gilmore and Charlie “Bug” McLean, a brother, Paul Junior Gilmore. Her husband Percy Lee McLean.

She is survived by her sons Percy Gilmore (Kimberly) of Sanford, NC; and Walter Gilmore of the home; two grandsons Anthony Perry and Antonio Gilmore, both of Sanford, NC; two step granddaughters, Kendra Collins and Jacqueline Collins; two great grands, Zahmere Perry and Zariah Perry; a special aunt, Geneva Headen; two sisters-n-law, Betty Gilmore and Treva McLean; two nephews, Paul Gilmore (LaKia) and Maurice Gilmore (Janis); two nieces, Belinda Williams (Frankie) and Deidra “Dee” Mclean and a special niece; whom she loved dearly Divyion McLean of Sanford, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
