Sheamory Cotten Obituary

Sheamory Kumar Cotten also known as “Mo-Mo”, was born on December 31st, 1980 to Tracey Cotten and Jeffrey Jackson.  He departed this life on Thursday, April 2nd, 2020 unexpectedly at his home in Georgia to be with the Lord.

He attended school in Chatham County/Wake County. At a young age, he was very active at his home church Liberty Chapel, Moncure, NC, where he was a member of multiple choirs, former Angelettes (youth choir), Mass Choir, and Youth Praise & Worship team.  He enjoyed singing and leading songs in the choirs.  He was a very talented artist who loved to draw and paint.  While living in Georgia he was able to work as a Make-Up Artist, very talented and skilled, he would work on his artistry for hours to make things perfect.

He adored children and was always excited to see his nieces, nephews and younger cousins.  He would interact with them, play outside with them and more.  Definitely trying to make them laugh along with entertaining and making others laugh.  He was the life of a gathering, very fun, outgoing and enjoyable.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was one of six children, he adored his mother and siblings wholeheartedly. He is survived by his mother, Tracey Cotten of New Hill, NC; father, Jeffrey Jackson of Bronx, NY; grandmother, Carolyn Cotten of New Hill, NC; sisters, Nia Cotten of Lillington, NC, Ashley Cotten; nephew, Michael Rader of New Hill, NC,  Ayanna Cotten; niece, Navi of Virginia, Jacobi Cotten of New Hill, NC;  brother, Jamie Cotten (Victoria); his grandmother, Connie Jackson and his godparents, Loretta and Ralph French; nieces, Aulani and Ivy; nephew, Jamison of Pittsboro, NC; uncle, Myrlan Cotten (Waverly) of Pittsboro, NC; aunt, Alicia Cotten-Harris (Kelvin) of Garner, NC; and a host of cousins and friends.
