The Obituary
Shaquita Evette McDougald was born on June 27, 1985, and suddenly transitioned on November 24, 2022.
Shaquita, known to her loved ones as “Kita” resided in Broadway, North Carolina. Kita was born to Gloria Streeter and the late Billy Wayne Jackson, both of Sanford North Carolina.
Shaquita was raised in Baltimore Maryland, where she was very shy in her younger years, but once she got to know you, you could have the shirt off her back. Shaquita was family-oriented with such a kind heart, willing to help anyone at the drop of a dime. Kita worked many jobs in her younger years from hotels to fast food, but most people may remember her from being a waitress “Kelly’s Truck Stop”, and she really enjoyed that job. She moved on to become an entrepreneur, sort of jack of all trades. A boss, she made the rules. Shaquita had two daughters whom she loved and truly adored and dedicated her life and pure love to. Kita loved gardening, fishing, decorating, and working on cars. She also was a Baltimore Ravens fan.
Shaquita was preceded in death by her father, Billy Wayne Jackson; grandparents, Georgia Mckoy (George) and Beulah Jackson; and brother-in-law, Ralph Watson.
Shaquita leaves to cherish in her loving memories two daughters, Markita Michelle Moore, and Ava Chase Haithcox; mother, Gloria Streeter (Avon); two sisters, Jacqueline Mckoy, and Casonya Owens (Michael); one brother, Jeremiah McDougald; three nieces, Dashonda Watson, Cassidy Owens, and Sykina Jones; two nephews, Michael Owens II, and Loyalty McDougald; one great nephew, Keshawn Newby Jr.; three aunts, Sarah Mckoy, Sharon Mckoy, and Vanessa Swann; two uncles, Kenneth Mckoy, and Arthur Clinton Swann. Shaquita also leaves to mourn three brothers and six sisters by way of her father, as well as a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
