Ms. Selena Denise Cuevas Orellana, age 24, of Sanford, NC, transitioned to eternal rest on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC.

Obituary

Born on November 6, 2001, she passed away on November 20, 2025, at the age of 24. Though her time with us was brief, her impact was profound.

She graduated from Central Carolina Community College (CCCC) and found joy and purpose in her career as a paralegal, where her dedication and passion shone through. She was a fighter in every sense—resilient, determined, and someone who never gave up, no matter the challenge.

She is survived by her loving parents, Damaris Orellana and Jacinto Cuevas; two brothers, Francisco Orellana (Nancy) and Edwin Orellana (Jennifer); and a large extended family of nephews, nieces, cousins, uncles, and aunts who will forever hold her memory close.

She will be remembered for her strength, her laughter, and the way she inspired others with her perseverance. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the love she gave so freely.

A celebration of her life will be held with family and friends, honoring her accomplishments, her courage, and the beautiful soul she was.
