Ms. Scottie Latoya Stroud, age 38, of Cameron, NC entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at her residence in Cameron, NC.
The Obituary
Ms. Scottie Latoya Stroud was born on March 17, 1985, to Reginald Stroud and Tonya Green Lee. During the early morning of Wednesday, August 9, 2023, she entered into eternal peace at her residence leaving an empty hole in the hearts of her loved ones.
Scottie, affectionally known as "Toya", "Scoot", and many other nicknames family and friends have given her over the years. She attended Lee County School System, Cumberland County School System, and Western Harnett High School and continued her education with a degree in Cosmetology. Before following her dream, she worked as an assistant manager for a Retail department store (Fashion Cent/Rainbows). Latoya had a passion for hair and branched out to pursue her talent at various salons such as Donna’s, Bella Beauty Bar, and Vision Styling Salon, then she became her own entrepreneur as “Stroud Styles.”
Latoya was a fun-loving, adventurous, uplifting, outgoing, and very strong passionate woman. She loved singing, dancing, and having a good time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Scottie Mae White Green; her uncle, Milton White; her aunt, Vanessa Shaw; and her great aunt, Margie Trusell.
She leaves to cherish her memories, four children; Rashawn Worthy Stroud, Aaniyah Seymore, Za’Carie Seymore of Cameron, NC, and Brian Seymore, Jr. of Kinston, NC; her mother; Tonya Green Lee (Robert) of Fayetteville, NC; her father, Reginald Stroud of Cameron, NC; one grandchild, Amoura Dior Worthy Stroud; grandparents, Raymond (Carolyn) Stroud which was her Rock, Clyde Green; four brothers, Mitchell Patterson of Fayetteville, NC, Robert Lee, Jr. of Sanford, NC, Javon Lee of Fayetteville, NC, and Forrest Tucker of Cameron, NC; four sisters, Janice Green of Charlotte, NC, LaTonya Green of Sanford, NC, Amonique Stroud of Sanford, NC, and Robin Lee of Fayetteville, NC; two aunts, Bessie Tysor (Patrick), and Vonetta Stroud; three uncles; Charles Marsh, Warren Anderson (Shelia), and Ashley Green (Sharain); three god children; Deja Weatherspoon, Nyomi Thompson, and Zy’Mya J’nae Stroud-Ray; two great uncles; Donald White (Viola) and Freeman Stroud; two stepmothers; Denise Stroud and Loretta Stroud; five very special and favorite cousins/friends; Justyn Stroud, Seniqua Feaster, Ralph Massey, Brian Seymore and Krystle Felix, her pride and joy Lola (her dog), along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends whom she loved.
