Sarah Delphine ("Dootsie-Mae") McIver

Ms. Sarah Delphine McIver "Dootsie-Mae ", age 60 of Burlington, NC transitioned into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at Cone Health Alamance Regional Medical Center.

Psalm 121:1 "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My Help cometh from the Lord."

Ms. Sarah Delphine McIver, was the baby girl, of the late Benjamin Franklin McIver and Esther Bernice McIver, born on May 10, 1962, in Lee County, North Carolina. 

In addition to her beloved parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Shemeka McIver; son, Michael Hussey and sisters; Gennis B. Johnson and Fannie M. Johnson. 

Ms. Sarah, affectionately known as "Dootsie-Mae '' was committed to being a God-fearing woman. She never hesitated to fulfill her role as usher, greeter, hospitality member, youth teacher, or any kingdom-building task that she was given. Sarah loved her family beyond words. She was a loving mother and nurturing grandmother. Her words of wisdom wrapped around you and lasted for a lifetime. She enjoyed traveling, sightseeing, and fishing all while making memories. Sarah truly found her purpose and joy in bringing laughter and love to anyone that she encountered. 

Her memories continue to be cherished by her "One and Only Anointed Son", Stevie McIver (Keisha) of Sanford N.C.; two daughters, Sergeant First Class Emily Hussey of Charlotte, N.C and Sergeant Kasheenna "Tara" McIver of Graham N.C.; grandchildren, Heaven, Nevaeh, Lyla, Zuri-Anna, Davaeh, and Kashtyn; one brother, Ronnie F. McIver; three sisters, Pastor Patricia M. Taylor, Judith K. Davis (Darel), and Sylvia I. Martin; two aunts, Dorothy Worthy of Bridgeport, Ct. and Alice Matthews (Frank) of Sanford, N.C.; with no partiality of love, an abundance of nephews, nieces, family, and friends. 

Ms. Sarah's Humorous spirit will forever thrive in the hearts and souls of many.
