Sandy Lee Minter

Mr. Sandy Lee Minter age 80 of 103 McGill Street, Sanford, NC transitioned into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at his residence. 

THE MEMORIAL REFLECTIONS

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in Me. My Father’s house has many rooms; If that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.” St. John 14:1 – 3 NIV

Mr. Sandy Lee Minter, the son of the late Clinton Issac Minter and Bessie Gales Minter was born February 17, 1941, in Harnett County, he matriculated through the school systems in Harnett and Lee County. After high school Sandy became a trained TRUCK DRIVER and was employed by Thurston Trucking Company in Charlotte, NC later he was employed by National Freight where he became owner- operator. He enjoyed looking at old western movies, eating out with friends and having visitors visit his home.

In his later years, Sandy experienced health challenges that limited him doing some of the things he enjoyed. In the early morning of Wednesday, December 22, 2021, Sandy finished his work with us and transferred to his heavenly home to receive the promised joy of rest and peace from God.

He was preceded in death by his father, mother, sister Emma Minter Scates and stepmother Mrs.  Classie Mae Davis Minter.

The precious and fond memories of Sandy will forever be cherished in the hearts and souls of his: daughter, Mrs. Cynthia Heron (Paul) of Acworth, Georgia; son, Jesmene Lockhart of Charlotte, North Carolina; his significant other, Ms. Roslyn McCullow of Charlotte, North -Carolina; three grandchildren; special cousins, Ms. Mable Gales, and Mr. Rufus Yarborough of Sanford, North Carolina and family guardian Mr. Gary Cox of Goldston, North Carolina; special friend, Donald White and a host of other relatives and friends.
