Ms. Sandra Lee (Ocltree) Moore, age 74, of Virginia Beach, VA, and formally of Broadway, NC, entered eternal rest on Monday, November 11, 2024, at Signature Health Care Center in Norfolk, VA.

Obituary

Sandra Lee Moore (Ocltree), was born to the late Joseph and Mattie Ocltree in Angier, NC on November 26, 1949. She was the youngest daughter out of their four children.

She was always a loving, caring person who always looked out for everyone in her life. As a senior in high school, she became a bus driver to make sure all her students arrived safely to their destination. After high school, she attended Wake Technical College for her Associates Degree in Office Administration, where she met her future husband, John Lee Moore. They were married in April of 1972, and she became a loyal military wife for 17 years and raised their three children.

In 1990, they divorced, and she went back to work as a Christmas bow maker and basket weaver.

In the early 2000, she had several strokes and became totally disabled, but still managed to help raise her grandchildren and some of her great grandchildren.

Sandra leaves behind her children, Sonya Moore of VA, John Christopher Moore of GA, and Geoffrey Moore (Stacey); six grandchildren, Ben Moore (Domonique), Dominique Moore (Dhaelon Gaines), Timothy Moore (Artazia Knight), Aiyanna Moore, LaDeja Moore, and Janyah Moore; three great grandchildren, Kalila Moore, Rebekah Gaines, and Blaze Moore; one honorary son, John Lee Moore, Jr.; one honorary daughter, Jade Morris; one brother, Joseph Ocltree (Lorraine); a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other godchildren that she took under her wing whenever they needed it.
