Sanders Barnes

Mr. Sanders Barnes, age 72, of Sanford NC, transitioned into eternal rest on Friday, August 27, 2021, at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford, NC.

Sanders Barnes was born June 28, 1949, to the late Lillie Mae Lane. He received his education in Wendell N.C. His occupation was Security Officer in Brooklyn N.Y. for 15 years, before retiring at a Coca Cola Company in Queens N.Y. While in Brooklyn, New York, Sanders met the love of his life, Olive Faye Dean. It was love at first sight. They were married on September 30, 1983. They returned to Sanford N.C. in 2013. Sanders Barnes fathered 5 children, Nicole Daye of Wendell N.C., Sanders Barnes Jr.  of Raleigh N.C., Priscilla Barnes of Raleigh N.C., Lavar Little of Brooklyn N.Y., and Brandon Griffin of Sanford N.C; and a good friend, like a brother, Darney Burns.  He also leaves a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Sanders Barnes loved. the outdoors. He loved racing, detailing cars, and riding his scooter. Sanders Barnes will truly be missed.

He was preceded in death by his mother Lillie Mae Lane. His brothers, Wallace Barnes, Marvin Barnes, and Johnnie Barnes.
