The Obituary

Mr. Samuel Lamont Wiley was born in Orange County, NC, to Betty Jean Wiley and Sam Currie on May 24, 1978. He entered his eternal rest at the University Medical Center in Las Vegas, NV on December 23, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Tim Currie.

Lamont was a member of Evans Chapel AME Zion Church. He was a graduate of Lee County Senior High School in Sanford, NC. After graduation, he joined the US Army.

Lamont had a passion for music. He worked with various artists in the music industry, writing and performing. Being in the music industry allowed him to travel. Lamont was a wealth of wisdom and knowledge and was loved and respected by many.

Those he leaves to cherish his precious memory are his loving, devoted parents, Betty Jean and Jeff Spinks; children, Jamecca, Ian, and Penelope; brothers, JT and Stacy; sister, Rhonda; close childhood friends, Travis, Jermaine, Renauld, Larry Ray, Dedrick, LaKesia, Tameka, Tonya, Rona, LaTeesha, and Jerita; and a host of aunts, uncles, relatives, and friends.
