Mr. Samuel “Sammy” Bernard Burch, Jr., age 34 of Cameron, NC, transitioned to be with our Heavenly Father on Monday, September, 13, 2021. Sammy was born on May 26, 1987 to Pandora French Johnson and Samuel Bernard Burch, Sr.
Sammy attended both Lee County Senior High School and Southern Lee High School in Sanford, NC, where he was a member of the cheerleading and gymnastics teams. After high school, Sammy worked at many well-known businesses in the Sanford area. He last worked as a Machine Operator at Frontier Spinning Mills, Inc. From an early age, Sammy showed an interest in gymnastics and cheerleading and even assisted with instructing the youth throughout the Sanford area.
Blessed with the ability to get along with almost anyone, Sammy was a friend to (and loved by) many. Sammy was well-known for his intelligence, wittiness, candor, generosity, humility, and upbeat demeanor.
To know Sammy was to love him. He truly lived for unity and often played the peacemaker on numerous occasions. Sammy was wise beyond his years—he was truly one of a kind.
