Ms. Sadie Ruth Horton age 73, of Pittsboro NC, transitioned into eternal rest on Monday, July 13th, 2026
Sadie was born July 14, 1952, to the late John Robert Horton and Nell Horton.
She graduated from Horton High School in the class of 1970, and she enjoyed cooking, going to gospel programs, as well as being master of ceremony at programs, spending time with family and friends, laughing & joking and enjoying life. She joined Terrell’s Chapel at a very young age where she served on the missionary board and planning committee. She was a faithful member until health declined. Her loving compassionate, and generous heart inspired many, especially her family.
She was preceded in death by her father, John Robert Horton, her brothers John M Scurlock, Carl V Horton and Floyd W Horton and her son Andre T Alston.
Sadie will forever be remembered & loved by her mother Nell Horton, daughter Sonia M Alston (Conard), 2 granddaughters Christyn S Alston & Macyn Hand. 4 sisters, Helen McNeil, Arlene Horton, Doris Horton (Kent), and Juanita Horton and a host of aunts, nieces nephews, and friends.
