Rosa Marie Rone

Ms. Rosa Rone, age 66 of 347 S. Small Street, Pittsboro, NC transitioned into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at UNC Hospitals, Chapel Hill, NC.

Rosa Marie Rone was born to the late Prevent Steadman and Emma Rone on June 24, 1953. She entered
eternal rest on January 28, 2020.

Rosa was better known as “Pinky.” Rosa was a member of Mt. Sinai A.M.E. Church.  She was a graduate of Northwood High School, class of 1971. She later furthered her education to become a Certified Nursing Assistant. Her favorite pastime was sitting on her  front porch of her “gray castle” drinking a Mountain Dew and talking on the phone. She never failed to ask you “What you cook good?”, and always eager to give you the daily weather report.

Rosa was a devote family woman, people person, and never met a stranger. She was always planting seeds of wisdom into her family letting them know that tomorrow is not promised, and to live one day at a time as if it's your last doing what is right it the sight of God by saying… “Don’t worry about tomorrow’s bread for it my have mold on it, for the Lord said He will supply you with your daily bread.”  She was preceded in death by her son DeMarcus Rone; her brothers Robert Sr, Lonnie, Wiley, Joseph; and sisters Helen, Ella, and Mary. 

She leaves to cherish her two daughters Maria Rone of Knightdale, NC and Erica “Monique” Rone of Pittsboro, NC; One grand-daughter who was the apple of her eye Kyonti Rone of Pittsboro, NC; two Godsons Adrian Jones and Michael Cotton of Pittsboro, NC; one brother Walter (Florence) Rhone of
Pittsboro, NC; three sisters, Rose (Paul) of Pittsboro NC, Dianne (Daryl) Cox of Woodbridge, VA, and Patricia (Robert) Campbell of Chapel Hill, NC. Her memory will also live on in the hearts of a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
 

The family will be receiving family and friends at the home of Paul & Rose Eaves- 260 Russell Chapel Church Rd, Pittsboro, NC.
