Ms. Rosa Thomas, 82, of 355 Crystal Spring Drive Sanford, NC transitioned into eternal rest on Saturday, December 19, 2020, at UNC Hospice Home, Pittsboro, NC.
In Loving Memory of a Special Aunt
Rosa Mae Thomas, the daughter of the late Binella R. Williams and John Perkins was born on 4-12-1938 in Bennettsville, SC.
Rosa Mae Thomas moved to Sanford, N.C. at the age of 3 years old with her family. She attended W. B. Wicker School. She was a very faithful member of Zion Hill Holiness Church in the Osgood Community, as a youth. Later she attended Mt. Olive Holiness Church located on Hudson Ave. in Sanford, N.C. She loved the Lord and enjoyed reading. Her favorite book to read was the Bible.
Rosa Mae Thomas was preceded in death by: her husband of fifty years, James Thomas; her mother, Binella Williams Perkins; stepmother, Minnie Tuck Perkins; father, John Perkins; sisters, Lucille Pennix, Beatrice Williams, Rebecca Winston, Rosa Lee Steadman; brothers, William Perkins, Zane Perkins, Isiah Perkins.
She leaves to cherish her memories: sons, Eugene Brown of Georgia, and Bernard Brown of Florida; a daughter, Mary Hoskins of Georgia; sister, Laura P. Buie of the home; a dear niece, Phyllis Perkins Henry of the home; numerous grandkids, nieces and nephews.
