Obituary
Rodney Watson, 69, of Sanford, NC, son of the late George Edward Watson and Bettye Watson, was born on December 13, 1955. He departed this life on Wednesday, December 10, 2025.
Rodney was preceded in death by one sister, Bettina M. Seymoure.
Rodney graduated from Sanford Central High School in 1974. He dedicated over a decade at Moen in Sanford, where he retired. Rodney had a love for life, including cars, and cheering on his favorite college basketball team, Duke Blue Devils.
Rodney is survived by his two sons, Darrell Johnson and Demiko Watson (Jacinta); five grandchildren, Kenisha L. Coons (Johnnie), Devin D. J. Jenkins (Nylivia), Alexander J. Jones, Ahmon S. Watson and Aja Q. Watson; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Jacqueline A. Watson; one brother-in-law, Ronald Seymoure; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
