Robert Lee Perry, age 62 of Sanford North Carolina transitioned into eternal rest on Monday, August 31, 2020 at the Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Fayetteville, North Carolina surrounded by his family.
Robert Perry was born January 10, 1958 in Sanford, North Carolina, son of Edith Perry and the late James Lassiter.
Robert graduated from Sanford Central High School in 1976. He then enlisted into the United States Army in 1976 and served domestically and overseas in Germany, Greece and other countries. After serving his country, Robert continued to work in logistics at multiple companies throughout the United States.
Robert was united in marriage in 1980 to Ms. Deborah Ann Latimer, which there were two children born, Frederick Rodrecus Latimer and LaKesha Nichole Perry. He enjoyed building computers and model cars as a hobby. He attended Mt. Nebo Church since an early age and was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Masons. Robert was known to be a very intelligent and good hearted man. He would do anything to give a helping hand. He had a laugh that was contagious and loved to tell jokes. Robert also loved all of his children dearly.
He is preceded in death by his biological father, James Lassiter; guardian mother, Earlene Fox; guardian father, June Fox; three brothers, Arthur J. Tabon, Wilson J. Tabon, Timmy R. Tabon; raised with brothers, David Fox, James Fox; grandparents, Etta Mae Perry and Leuis S. Perry.
He leaves behind his cherished children, son, Frederick R. Latimer; daughters, Roschelle L. Green, Natasha Y. Fulton, LaKesha N. Perry and a set of twins; biological mother, Edith Perry; six brothers, David E. Tabon, James R. Tabon, Stacy K. Tabon, Dennis Dunbar, Robert Lassiter and Franklin Lassiter; three sisters, Darlene T. Adams, Tiny Lassiter and Jackie Lassiter; raised with brothers, Thomas Fox and Zack Herman Fox Jr.; raised with sisters Linda Fox, Fatima Fuller, Geraldine Fox and raised by sister Josephine White; 8 beautiful grandchildren; special friend in youth Gary Fox and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
