Richard Wesley Toomer

Mr. Richard Wesley Toomer, age 100, of Sanford, NC transitioned to eternal rest on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Westfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Sanford, NC.

Richard was preceded in death by two sons, Rickie H. McLean and Julius Lassister; three sisters, Kattie McLean, Kathlene McLean, Beatrice Marsh; one son-in-law, Donnie Smith; one nephew, Jerome Barnes; and great-great granddaughter, Manasia Bethea.

He leaves to cherish his memories: one daughter, Carolyn B. Smith; six grandchildren, Troy Bethea, Kimberly Bethea, Julius Jr., Tiwana Lassiter, Regina Bethea, and Terrell Times; five great-grandchildren, Elijah Bethea, Anthony Mckoy, Azariah Bethea, Ishois Times, and Elliyanyah Times; two nieces, Marian Barnes, and Jerlene Crump; eight great nieces, Tara Barnes, Beyunka Thomas, Sherry Thomas, Sheneeta Womack, Milan Toomer, Kiahana Toomer, Dannielle Toomer, and Kimberly Toomer; four great nephews, William Toomer (Jackie), Raynard Thomas, Chris Barnes, and Tony Barnes; a special cousin, Carol Maye; and five great great grandchildren.
