Raquan Shymell Eternal Hooker, age 24 of 124 Willow Ridge Drive, Sanford, NC transitioned into eternal rest, Tuesday, November 17, 2020.

Raquan Shymell Eternal Hooker was born December 12, 1995 in Chapel Hill, NC to Natasha Hooker and Hezekiah Overton.  Raquan, affectionately called “Querv”, gained his wings on November 17, 2020.

Raquan was a handsome, giving, and respectful young man.  He adored his mother and daughter.  He had so much love for his family and friends. He had an eye for art and an amazing basketball talent.  He loved music and could dance a hole in the floor. Raquan attended Southern Lee High and obtained his GED & other academic certificates.

Raquan was preceded in death by his grandmother, Deborah Hooker; grandfather, Larry Hooker Sr. and sister / cousin, Brittany McIver.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his daughter, Melanie Rios; his mother, Natasha Hooker (Michael); his father, Hezekiah Overton; his brothers, Jacob, and Markice; sisters, Antionette, Mariah and Layla; aunts, Carla Phidd, Mauricea Waddell, Felice Overton; uncles, Arterio McLeod, Carlos Marks, Larry Hooker Jr., James Overton.  He also leaves a bonus father, Chavez Foxx and special friends who were more like brothers, and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
