Primrose Estelle Sutton was born October 20, 1948. To the late parents Lalur Edwards and Oscar Edwards. On June 11, 2021, our Heavenly Father called her home.
She attended Chatham County Public Schools. After graduating from high school in 1967, she attended business school in the triangle area. Upon graduation from business school, she moved to Washington, D.C. where she did clerical work for Federal Government.
In 1971, Primose met David Sutton and they were married in 1972. To that union was born one son Richard Anthony Sutton.
In 1974 she returned to Goldston, N.C. to reside. Estelle worked various jobs, but the one that she loved the most was working with Knotts Funeral Home in Sanford and Siler City, N.C.
Primrose joined Roberts Chapel at an early age. When returning to North Carolina she rededicated herself to the ministry and served in various capacities. Some acts of service included: church clerk, many positions within the missionary circle, secretary of Sunday School, usher, choir member, chair of Benevolent and Condolence Committee, assisted in delivering food to church and community members, and assisted with voting for political candidates.
Estelle was active member of the Morning Star Chapter #594, Order of Eastern Star-Prince Hall Affiliate. She received many awards The highest award received was the Secretary Award from the North Carolina Grand Chapter of Eastern Star for outstanding performance. She served in many positions for Morning Star Chapter #594, Goldston, N. C.
She leaves to cherish her memories her son Richard Sutton (Tamkai) Durham, NC; Six grandchildren Keshanna (KJ) Williams Sanford, NC, Anaiya Sutton, Tonita Webster (Dakota), Clarissa Trice, Fredrick Trice, and Tyrese Peaks. Six great-grand children all from Durham NC. Two sisters Rosella Frazier Greensboro NC, and Christine Blake Reaves Mt Laurel NJ. Host of Nephews, Nieces, cousins other relatives and many Friends.
Estelle preceded in death two sister, Louis McIntosh, Landora Pearce, and one brother Burly Rives.
