Mr. Peter Leodas Davis Jr., age 63 of Sanford, NC transitioned to eternal rest on Saturday, June 22, 2024. 

The Obituary

Mr. Peter Leodas Davis Jr., “Tiny Mite”, son of the late Helen Marsh and Peter Davis was born in Greensboro, NC on March 2, 1961. He departed this life June 22, 2024, at Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center of Lee County,

He received his basic education in Lee County. He was a member of St. Mark United Church of God in Sanford NC where he served as Superintendent of Sunday School. Throughout his life he worked as a hard laborer for many factories as well as in the healthcare field; also, he had a strong passion for martial arts/karate of which he practiced. He was very outgoing and never met a stranger anywhere he went. 

Peter was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Helen; granddaughter, Jamya McCormick; and nephew, Shawn "Moses” Davis.

He leaves to cherish his memories with wife, Charlene Davis of 36 years; children, Nhyeisha, Peter III “Pj”, and Mijireh Davis, all of Sanford, NC; one stepson, Jamael Mccormick of Fayetteville, NC; one sister, Beverly Flournoy of Sanford, NC; one brother, JC Marsh (Mary) of Marshville, NC; mother-in-law, Joanne Mccormick; sisters-in-law, Anna and Shakina McCormick of Sanford NC and Nikkie McCormick of Whitsett, NC; one aunt, Bertha Davis of Greensboro, NC; two uncles, Steve Marsh and Haskel Marsh both of Marshville, NC; eight grandchildren, Jaiden Cameron, Sunil Jones, Delilah Davis, Ny’Asia, Jneah, Jamael Jr, Jayvion, and Nakariah McCormick. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and other family members.
