Mr. Paul Mack Seymore, age 92 of Moncure, NC transitioned to eternal rest Friday, May 3, 2024, at his residence.

Paul Mack Seymore, age 92 of Moncure NC, departed his life and entered Eternal rest on May 3, 2024. Paul was born on September 9, 1931, to the late Manley and Bettie Seymour.
He attended Gum Springs School in Moncure. Being the oldest out of seven, he was tasked with working on the family farm. He held various jobs and later retired from Weyerhaeuser.
He joined Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. He sung with several quartet groups as well as the Mount Olive Male Chorus, where he was known for singing, “Oh, Mary Don’t You Weep.”
On March 20, 1954, he married his “Ruth” the apple of his eye and to this union five children were born.
Paul was known for his upbeat spirit and could be found telling jokes, making ALL who he encountered laugh.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Manley and Bettie Seymour, his siblings, Robert Seymore, Eli Seymour, Robena Seymour Cameron, Hubert Seymour. His son Avon Seymore and granddaughter Bianca Wilson.
He leaves to cherish his legacy; wife of seventy years, Mae Ruth; children, Franklin Seymore (Deborah) of Siler City, NC, Betty “Lynette” Wilson of Pittsboro, NC, Timothy Seymore (Nancy) of Chester, VA, Teresa Fox (Glen) of Goldston, NC; grandchildren, Paul Seymore, Latita Larden, Natasha Waller, Avon Seymore, Thomas Wilson, Brandon Seymore, Antonio Penny, Rayshawn Seymore, Angela Jordan, Shavonne Jordan, and Quincy Fox; twenty-one great-grandchildren; brothers, Leander “Lee” Seymour (Ruby) of Moncure, NC, James “Coot” Seymour of Sanford, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
