Mr. Octavias Evan Snipes, age 32 of Sanford, NC transitioned into eternal rest on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at his residence in Sanford, NC.Mr. Octavias Evan Snipes, age 32 passed peacefully in his sleep at his home on Saturday, October 1, 2022.
Octavias, the oldest of five siblings was born in 1989 on the 23rd of December in Sanford, North Carolina.
Octavias, heart-warmly known as “Bookie” was an amusing and dynamic person who will truly be missed. Bookie enjoyed spending time with his family. One can say he was a family man.
Bookie grew up and attended New Bethel FWB Church under the leadership of Elder Timothy Jenkins, where he was a member of the YPCL, junior usher board and youth choir.
Octavias’ education was within the Lee County School System where he thrived and developed vigorously. Treading in his father’s steps Octavias played baseball and football for the School of Excellence, Lee County Senior High with Lee County Yellow Jackets.
Octavias loved to work and was employed with Caterpillar, Incorporated of Sanford, North Carolina.
Octavias met his companion and soulmate Danielle Clark and they began a life together having three beautiful girls. Bookie was a wonderful, dedicated father and an excellent dad to his princesses.
A father like you is what everyone needs,
full of smiles and laughter, always doing great deeds.
Nothing can replace a father like you,
Faithfully you, we will miss,
and when you get to heaven,
give G’ma Kathy, G’pa Leroy & Unc Stink a great BIG kiss!
Octavias is preceded in death by his great grandparents: Douglas Allen, Doris, and Glenn Snipes, Emma and James Jackson; grandparents: Kathryn Ann and William Evan Snipes, Verta Gill and Donnie Smith, uncle: Jonathon Jackson, brother: Demetrius Snipes.
Octavias leaves cherished memories to his parents Rhonda Snipes Johnson of Lillington, North Carolina, and Jarvis S. Jackson of Sanford, North Carolina.
His Princesses: Azaria, Addisyn, and Autumn of the home.
Siblings: Kendra and Jarvis, Jr., of Sanford, North Carolina; Jarkayla of Charlotte, North Carolina Kayanna of Lillington, North Carolina and Rashonne Bethea of Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
Great grandmother: Betty Jean Baldwin Allen of Sanford, North Carolina; his S’Mom; Tammy Jackson of Sanford, North Carolina, his S’Pops; Jerome Johnson of Fayetteville, North Carolina and Christopher Ragland of Corinth, North Carolina.
Aunts: Carla and Charles Sweat of Woodbridge, Virginia; Jessica Andrews and Nece Jackson both of Sanford, North Carolina.
Uncles: Ray Baldwin of Killeen, Texas; Steven and Camelia Baldwin of Broadway, NC; William and Katelyn Snipes, Larry and Joyce Smith all of Sanford, North Carolina. five nieces, three nephews, several aunts, uncles, great aunts, great uncles, and many families and friends
