Montessa Lynette (Holloway) Washington

Ms. Montessa Washington, age 67, of Cameron, NC entered eternal rest on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at her residence. 

Montessa Lyn-ette Holloway Washington "Tessa" was born on March 15, 1956, to the late Wilbert and Irene C. Jones. Tessa graduated from Sanford Central High School. After graduating, she attended Central Carolina Community College for Cosmetology where she graduated top of her class. She later worked at GKN in Sanford. She was an amazing mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was beautiful, smart and witty. She enjoyed getting together laughing and being herself.

Tessa leaves to cherish her memories. sons Norman "Tony" Gunter and Ryan "Snoop" Holloway Gunter, granddaughter Alexis Gunter, Jahriya Holloway Gunter, Rylin Holloway Gunter, and Ryan Holloway Gunter Jr., great-grandson Xavier Colvin, sisters Jackie (Moses) Reid, Libby Jones, Jeneane Bethune, and Joyce Reid, brothers Keith Jones, and Gilbert Jones. aunts Pearly Walker, Margaret Judd, Nellie McLean, Lois Lee, and Ann Peggy Jones: host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends, and a special friend George Williams.
