Michael Ranard Fox

Michael Ranard Fox, age 51 of Lillington transitioned into eternal rest Wednesday, October 28, 2020.

Mike was born September 29, 1969 to the late Harry Fox and Lessie L. Fox in Sanford, NC. He graduated from Lee County Senior High School, Class of 1987. He was a talented football player. He later attended Central Carolina Community College, graduating in 2010 with a degree in barbering. He was a member of World Changer Harvest Center Ministry.

Mike enjoyed riding motorcycles, dirt bikes, and ATV's. His favorite past time was fishing with his Zebco 33 reel using his go to lure, the black and yellow beetle spin.

Mike deeply loved his children. He loved people. He had a way with everyone that made it easy for anyone to love him and respond to him. He was a kind and pleasant person and so easy to get along with. He was always good for a good laugh.

He was preceding in death by his father, Harry Fox, who passed on Sept. 30, 2019.

Mike leaves to cherish his memories, his loving mother, Lessie Fox of Sanford; his wife, Christine Fox of Lillington; six children: Michael Rader (Brandi) of Sanford NC, Ryan Cameron of Sanford, Porcha Fox of Cameron NC, Donovan "Duke" Steadman of Sanford, Jordan McKenzie of Raleigh NC, and Casey Fox of Lillington NC; one sister, Sherry Johnson (Anthony); his nephew, Terence D. Marsh (Sherri); niece, Deja Curtis (Darius); two bonus daughters: Kayla McKay of Georgia and Isabel Verhasselt of Hawaii; two aunts: Clara Fox-Reese of Sanford and Clara Dowdy (Sammy); two great aunts: Essie Watson of Sanford and Edna Jones of Washington DC; one uncle, Laverne Murchison (Janice) of Sanford, NC; eight grandchildren; and brothers he never had, Ray "Ville" Summerville, Jeff Person, and countless others. He also leaves a host of other family and friends that’s too numerous to name, including his friends since Oakwood, classmates (Class of 87) and other friends he met along the way.

His death is a great loss to all that knew him.
