Melanie Cross-Ward

Mrs. Melanie Cross-Ward, age 34 of 514 Fire Tower Rd., Pittsboro, NC transitioned into eternal rest on Monday, November 16, 2020 at UNC Hospitals, Chapel Hill, NC.

An Angel was called home.

Mrs. Melanie Kay Cross-Ward was born October 13, 1986 to the late Archie L. Cross and Jewell K. Scurlock-Cross. She was called home to be with Lord on Monday, November 16, 2020 at UNC Hospital. 

Melanie attended and graduated from Northwood High School with the Class of 2005. Melanie was a friend to many, many people through her different jobs. She was always there to help anyone whenever they needed help. Her smile turned strangers into friends for life. She was a Devoted member of Staunton Memorial CME Church, serving as Kitchen Capital, starting in the Junior Choir and moving up to Divine Voices and the Mass Choir as well as doing whatever that was asked of her. 

She was a Devoted and loving wife to her husband, Timothy Ward Jr. and Step-mother to Jayden Ward. She was a loving baby sister to her brother Anthony Cross (Christine), her sister Kelli Cross, Leigh Williams (Kentrell) and Sharon Cross (Jerry) and Honorary sister, Destiny Frazier. She was beyond in love with her nieces, Alisia (DeeDee), Nalani, Kelsey and Shanice. As well as her nephews Deondre, Kaleb (Godson) and Baby Archie. Who she leaves to Cherish and Keep her beautiful memories alive. 

She loved the Lord with all her heart. She enjoyed braiding hair, gardening, family game night, dancing, having fun with her family and friends, cooking and being there for others.

Melanie Kay Cross-Ward will be truly missed by all she touched, including a host of Aunt's, Uncle's, family and friends. She is sincerely irreplaceable and life without her will NEVER be the same.
