Mary Isabel (Chalmers) Quick

Ms. Mary Isabel (Chalmers) Quick, age 84, of Sanford, NC, entered eternal rest on Friday, October 25, 2024, at Central Carolina Hospital in Sanford, NC.

Isabel was the youngest of her nine siblings and was quick to make it known ‘she was the baby.” Her spiritual guidance came from her parents and elders in the Haw Branch Community.    

Isabel received her education at Pickney High School in Carthage, NC. Her working years earned her retirement from Cones Mills in Greensboro, NC, and in-home healthcare services throughout Richmond and Moore County. She enjoyed time spent with others at the Sanford Enrichment Center. However, her love was BINGO! Whether she played one card or ten, whether win or lose, she left satisfied knowing she had played bingo. Isabel was loved and will be truly missed.

She was preceded in death by her son, Victor Richmond; husband, Louis Quick; siblings, Rosa M. Chalmers, Claudie Chalmers, Elizabeth Tutt (Boots), Alberta Alston (Julius), Mollie L. Chalmers, Thomas Chalmers and William Graham Chalmers.

Isabel also leaves to cherish her memories: her children, Ronald Richmond (Sarah), Cedric Quick (Tonika), Sharna Quick Darian Quick; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother Rev. Charles Chalmers; one sister, Mrs. Annie Chalmers McSwain and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
