Ms. Mary Lou Montero, age 65, of Sanford, NC entered into eternal rest on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at First Health Hospice in West End, NC.

The Obituary

Mary Lou Montero, age 65 of Sanford, NC, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2024 from ALS. 

Mary was born in Vancouver, WA on June 30, 1959, but spent the majority of her life in Petaluma, CA. 

She graduated from Casa Grande High School in Petaluma, CA, class of 1977.

Mary was a hard-working woman that loved her family dearly. She especially loved to play with her grandchildren. 

In her spare time, she loved crafting, crocheting, playing bingo, or going to the casinos. 

In 2021, Mary relocated to NC to be close to her daughter and youngest grandsons. 

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Elsie Loshbaugh; and three brothers, Allan and Clyde Loshbaugh and Robert Hardy. 

She is survived by her daughter, Tina Szabady; son in law, Jonathan; grandsons, Isaiah, Brady, and Hunter; as well as her siblings, Katherine (Jim) Holt, David, Bob and Neal Loshbaugh, and Steven (Zusette) Willman. 

Her family will be planning a celebration of life to be held at a later date.
