Mary Christine (Alston) Marsh

Ms. Mary Christine (Alston) Marsh, age 85 of Pittsboro, NC entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 23, 2023, at the Siler City Center in Siler City, NC.

Mary Christine Alston Marsh was born to Julius Alston and Fannie Mitchell Alston on July 3, 1938, in Siler City NC.

She lived there until later moving with her family to Pittsboro NC. She attended Chatham County Elementary School and later Horton High School.

Known as “Tine” to the family, she joined Mitchell Chapel Church at an early age where she was a faithful member as long as her health allowed. She was a member of The White Wing Choir. She was later married to the late Macon Marsh, Jr.

She was preceded in death by one sister Carolyn Alston, and four brothers: Henry, Charlie, Julius Jr., and Leroy. 

She leaves to cherish her memory two sisters: Jessie M. White(Jimmy) of Graham NC, and Hilder Graves of Pittsboro NC; and a host of other relatives and friends.
