Mary Elizabeth (McNeil) Brower

Ms. Mary Elizabeth (McNeil) Brower, age 88 of Cameron, NC entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 31, 2023.

Mary Elizabeth Brower was born on April 14, 1935, in Erwin, North Carolina.

She departed this life on October 31, 2023, in Sanford, North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by two sons, James Madison Brower (Matt) and Travis Jackson Brower; and her siblings, John Dalton, Willie Nathan, Eddie, Edward, Larry, and one sister Ruby Lucas.

Mary was a Registered Nurse for over 40 years in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Upon retiring she moved back home to Cameron, North Carolina. In her spare time, she enjoyed working in her garden, thrifting, and decorating. She would always say “ You can never have too much 'cause you never know when you’re going to need it”. Mary had a great sense of humor and love for her
family and friends.

Mary always kept God by her side. She served in several churches both in Pennsylvania and North Carolina. She was a woman of great faith who believed in serving not only the Lord but all
those around her.

Mary was a wise woman, a strong woman, and most of all a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She will truly be missed by all who have known and loved her.

Mary leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Donna Brower and Sandra Brower (Niecy); two sons, Ranfiki Brower (Fiki), and Maurice Brower (Tony); a very special granddaughter whom she raised as her own, Keita Brower-Brooks; 23 grandchildren; over 50 great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Somjit Brower of Fayetteville, NC; and a host of family, friends, and loved ones.
