Marshall Anthony Kinney Sr., age 55 of 1217 Fernridge Drive, Sanford, NC transitioned into eternal rest Sunday, November 15, 2020, at Duke University Medical Center, Durham, NC.
Marshall was born on August 3rd, 1965 in Sanford NC to the late Annie Jane Kinney and Thurman Kinney. He was 55 at his passing on November 15th, 2020. He resides in Sanford NC.
Marshall was a minister and Financial Officer at Overcomers City Church.
Marshall loved to talk to people and go to the beach. He Loved cooking on the grill and watching good movies, listening to good music, and fishing. He was a hardworking man who always told his son to do it while you can. He loved his family.
As a child Marshall played recreational football and baseball. His best friends growing up were Rob Cotton, Dana Williams, Mike Williams, and Terrance Harris. Neighborhood friend Jeffery Johnson in Oakwood. Marshall married Joan D. McNeill on November 21st, 1986 at True Apostolic Deliverance Center.
He attended East Lee Junior High and graduated at Lee Senior High School. Marshall was the Pepsi man, a 3rd generation truck driver, and Business Owner. He worked at the Nuclear Power Plant Sharon Harris. He was an independent contractor for Rooms to Go. Minister and Financial officer at True Apostolic. Marshall has been a resident of Sanford NC all his life. Marshall Loved to see Cam Newton Play for the Panthers. He loved gardening and lawn care. He was over the grounds for Woodbridge.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Jane Kinney; brothers, Frederick McLucas (Rose), and Randy Kinney.
Marshall was survived by his wife, Joan D Kinney; son, Marshall A. Kinney II siblings: Wanda Hunter (Eugene), LeVern Kinney (Theenda) and Michael Kinney, Tabitha Blue, Yolonda Blue, Nick Blue; In-laws: Terresa Gray (Clarence), John D. McNeill (Jessica), Corinthia Uliasz, Calvin McNeill, Darryl Stewart; closest friend, Donald Jackson, John McDowell, Robert Berryman Carlton and Nicole Catrell, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will not be receiving family and friends at the home.
