Margarete (Till) Hodge

Ms. Margarete Till Hodge, age 86, of Broadway, NC, transitioned into eternal rest on Monday, March 20, 2023, at her residence.

Margarete was born in February 1937 in German-occupied Sudetenland Czechoslovakia to Richard Till and Theresa Haid Till. She married Elzie Leon Perkins and came to the USA in 1965. She was a seamstress and loved flowers, fishing, and the outdoors. She was a devout Christian and stood firm in her beliefs, she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband Elzie Leon Perkins, father Richard Till, mother Theresa Haid Till, sister Resi Till Koch, and daughter Felizitas Mecca.

She is survived by her daughter, Beate Sitte(Emil) of Dorfen, Germany, daughter, Marhea Perkins Stearman of Bayboro, NC, son, Jason Schroeder of South Dakota, son, Sonny Perkins of Sanford, NC, daughter, Bobbie Perkins Elliott(Ricky) of Broadway, NC, and daughter, Teresia Perkins of Fayetteville, NC; eight grandchildren, Kenneth Wayne Patterson Jr., David Allen Patterson, Keith Allen Patterson, Wolfgang Sitte, Sybille Sitte, Branden Allen Schroeder, Jorden Schroeder, and Carolyn Schroeder and seven great-grandchildren.

She will be dearly missed by her family and those who knew her.
