Loretta Ann (Lopes) Martin

Ms. Loretta Ann (Lopes) Martin, age 84, of Taunton, MA, entered eternal rest on Monday, September 2, 2024, at her daughter’s residence in Cameron, NC.

She leaves to cherish her life’s love-filled legacy one son, James K. Haynes (Gem Forde); two daughters, Valerie D. Haynes-Jones (Willie), Robyn M. Thompson; two siblings, Marie E. (Lopes) Corbin, Fortunato (Junie) Lopes, Jr.; six grandchildren, Shaun R. Cox, Leroy W. Thompson (Angel), Hakim S. Ellis, James K. Haynes, Jr. (Michelle), Brittany L. Thompson, Danielle M. Jones; and six great-grandchildren, Torri J. Cox, Hayden A. Haynes, Zora M. Shaw, Kai K. Thompson, Aliyah D. Haynes, and Kruz J. Thompson. She is preceded in death by her parents, Agnes (Andrade) Encarnanze and Fortunato Lopes, Sr.; three brothers, Ronald Lopes, William Lopes, Robert Lopes; one sister, Joyce (Lopes) Wooding; and one granddaughter, Lakeisha D. Haynes. She also leaves a host of countless nieces, nephews, and lifelong, beloved friends to hold many special memories. 

A Memorial to honor Loretta Martin will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Friday, October 4, 2024, at Peoples Baptist Church of Boston, 134 Camden Street, Boston, MA 02118
