Lora Ann McNeill

Lora Ann McNeill, age 60 of 6947 Sheriff Watson Road, Sanford, NC transitioned into eternal rest Saturday, July 4, 2020 at Central Carolina Hospital, Sanford, NC.

Aunt” Boo Boo”, as she was known, was born January 20, 1960 to the late Cleo Louise Gilmore Sellers and Henry Louis McNeil. She attended Western Harnett High School where she was a phenomenal basketball and softball player. Anyone who knew “Boo Boo” could attest to the fact that before her health declined, she was a hard worker. She worked for Avondale for more than ten years. One thing that everyone can agree on with Aunt “Boo Boo” is, she was very caring. Even though she never had children of her own, she helped raise many.

Family members preceding her in death are her parents, Cleo Sellers and Henry McNeill; seven uncles and five aunts.

She leaves to cherish her memories; five brothers, Preston Howard (Cynthia), John Henry Gilmore, Edward Lee McNeill, Mark Fredricks, and De’Shon Lee; two aunts, Geneva Headen and Carolyn Street; one uncle, Herbert McNeill; three nephews, Edward Belk Sr. (Jalisa), Shawn Townes, and John Gilmore Jr.; three nieces, Keisha Steadman (Wildred), Stephanie Belk (Mike) and Whitney Howard; eight great nieces, great nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
