Lillie Onetia Headen, age 61 of 710 Horton Road, Goldston, NC transitioned into eternal rest, Sunday, October 25, 2020 at her residence.
On Sunday morning, October 25, 2020 God called Lillie Onetia Headen home. The angel escorted her out as she was listening to her favorite gospel music.
Lillie was born to Lillie “Bane” Rives Headen and Coley Headen on February 16, 1959. She was proud to be known as the baby of the family with an excited character. She graduated from Lee County Senior High, Sanford, NC and Lynchburg College, VA.
Lillie was the mother of three children: Nakesha Headen and two sons Samuel Headen, Daniel Headen. Lillie also known as “Neita”, “Lillian” and “Big Mama” to many of youth and adults who felt safe in calling her dwelling home.
Lillie joined Wall Street Baptist Church at an early age. The church is now named First Calvary Baptist Church of Sanford. She was a part of many youth organization but her greatest joy was singing with the Senior Choir as an adult. She enjoyed telling others of the many activities and programs held at her Church.
Preceding her in death were her daughter, Nakesha Headen; her parents, Lillie and Coley Headen; sisters, Fabbie Ann Headen, and Demetris Headen; brother, Willie Harold Headen and a host aunts and uncles.
Cherishing her memories are two sons, Samuel Headen of Wake Forest, NC and Daniel Headen of Sanford NC; two brothers, Coley Alexander Headen, Pittsboro, NC and Pastor George Headen, Gulf, NC; two sisters, Shirley Headen, Princeton , MD and Venessa Headen Gales, Gulf, NC; two aunts, Willie Mae Tysor, Sanford, NC, and Maude Alston, Gulf, NC.
